Not sure you need to be catchy or creative, just write the facts, I find that agencies/sponsors etc usually simply prefer the facts presented in a logical manner!

    Kmizon,

Let me answer you in a couple of words.
First off you cannot adopt same approach to companies working in different industries. So you have to differerentiate your events proposals for different industries.Next you have to at least take into consideration two groups of prospective customers:

    1. Those who already have tried events marketing and know what's it all about
2.Those who have had no experience with event marketing so far

For group no.1 you have to come up with your solutions, referrals confirming you know the job and can satisfy their needs in a better way than other companies do.
For group under 2 you have to show them and convince them that first -it's going to help them make their business improve and still support it with your success case studies.

    Hope it helps

The most effective proposals are targeted at a very specific audience and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the situation, company, industry, and immediate needs of the prospective client. They don't use a template or "standard" boilerplate.

You need to learn all you can about the target company, and show them (through your proposal) how thorough you are, how insightful you are, and how much time and effort you've already invested on their behalf.

This philosophy is discussed in Rasputin For Hire : An inside look at management consulting between jobs or as a second career. That book has an entire chapter devoted to writing an effective proposal, and a sample proposal in the appendix. It's geared toward management consultants, but virtually all of the principles apply to any service business.

You can get the book at Amazon.com or bn.com, through most bookstores in the US, or on the website www.rasputinforhire.com .
