How To Build A List Of 2,000 Targeted Subscribers?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
If you are already a successful entrepreneur and had to start over and build a list of 2,000 subscribers in 30 days, how would you do it?

I have written and digitally published e-book called "Success Psychology" and it is a kind of principles I followed to fulfill my desire to come to America from India as a computer programmer when I was an unemployed graduate several years ago in India.

I launched it last week and I am starting to making sales now. I am writing articles and posting. I am going to put flyers offline too. Broadly, it applies to "self-improvement" market, ie., comes under Self-Help catergory. So, I am targetting right now anyone who is struck in fulfilling their goals who are ready to look at a solution, my e-book will help.

But, later on I am planning to customize to different markets like, newbie internet marketers, newbie MLMers, newbie want-to-be e-book authors and so on.

Now, what one or two strategies I can use (which are fastest, cheapest and effective) to get atleast 2,000 subscribers to my newsletter at karmicsuccess.com within say next 30 days?

Thanks for your input.
Sai.

What has worked really well for one of our customers is to offer the first chapter online for free. It's not to hard to find a decent e-mail list and, if you're upfront with your offer, it's not to hard to be CAN-SPAM compliant.

If you don't want to rent a list (probably not a good idea for what you're doing anyway) you can develop it yourself or hire someone to do it. Make sure you hire a firm who will:
    1) Develop a good database for you
    2) Accept some portion of pay based on response.

One thing I would like to point out is that you are trying to get this to be an almost overnight success! Why?

The things you are doing are good, if the content is what the market wants the sales will follow.

Take it easy and don't rush it, a badly planned campaign or a rushed on, and you'll be heading for a fall.

Push and support the project, get on forums, websites, blogs etc. Even try ebay ;-)

Good luck. Again, let us know how you get on.

Sai, don't get me wrong, I think, if you are looking at creating a plan, its great. Just didn't want you to think that you have to reach the skies in the 30 days :-)

Mushfique Manzoor just sent me a link to this fascinating article:

    https://www.embassymag.ca/html/index.php?display=story&full_path=/2005/july...

In this interview with Marin Wolf, of Chief Economics Editor of the Financial Times, London. He talks about Debt Utilization, Debt Relief and Economic Development as well as the personalities and interplay between the G8 leaders.

    Thanks Mushfique!
