Last week, my dad sent me a video from YouTube....

"Whoa, who told my dad about YouTube?" I thought. Even if he is not tagging content, let alone uploading his own videos (yet), this is a milestone in my interactive history timeline.
A few weeks ago I blogged on the question of whether certain media, such as TV, would cease to be consumed as a group, given the intense efforts to digitize and personlize all content. After thinking about it, I decided that humans love to share experiences. We have been doing this since the beginning of time, be it through storytelling, gathering around the (You)Tube, or forwarding a video clip in a viral fashion.
As it so turns out, last weekend I found myself watching yet another YouTube video with 5 relatives, all crowded around a kitchen table in America's heartland. I guess now I should just wait until someone invents "Internet TV Dinners."
