Exhibition Stand Layout

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi,

I have booked a 4m x 4m shell scheme stand which is open on two sides at an exhibition in June. I am trying to work out the best layout. I have a pop up stand and a banner stand. I was considering buying a portable reception desk as well. Should I have the the pop up in the rear corner or against a flat wall, desk in front of pop up or on one of the open sides. Should I have a table and chairs? What do you guys think?

Thanks

Adam, don't put any "barriers" like a reception desk or table on the open sides of your space. I do agree with Jim about having a conversation pit in the back.

My company has only participated in one tradeshow event, and the Experts we hired to design our low-budget space had one great idea I think is worth sharing with you: We bought a ten-foot segment of radio tower for about $40, built a triangular plywood base to stabilize it, and hung 3 narrow posterized copies of our logo vertically from the top. Visitors at the trade show could see it from lots of entry points, and it didn't "break the rules" of the organizers!
