Start by learning what it is your customers want that they are not getting today. Figure out who your prime target audience is -- very specifically.

Then figure out how you can fulfill the unmet needs of your narrow target audience on terms that are attractive to both you and your customers.

Now you have the core ingredients of a marketing plan. The rest is just putting all of that into a set of strategies that you can execute.

    Mahwush,

that says it all. Goodman above is on to something and I'm going to chime in. Beginning your *MP=Marketing Plan without a *CP=Customer Profile you're in trouble.

No matter what you sell until you deal with Targeting your customer and create a *CP you're on your way to no where fast.

Most people start with a product first and then stumble profusely trying to sell that product to everyone. Major mistake.

To give your Marketing Plan the greatest opportunity to succeed remember what Peter Drucker said. Is there anything else I can do for you?
