A Message Of Peace To All

Posted by Anonymous on 1000 Points
My Dear KHE Friends and Colleagues.

Regardless of your beliefs, there is one common thread that binds us all...it is our belief that somewhere in each of us is the courage to live in Peace and Harmony with all People. "Judge not the People by the Policies."

Yes, it takes courage. It takes courage to make the changes within ourselves, to not be judgemental, to not take for granted the many blessings we have, the courage to stand up and say "I will live in Peace."

If I may paraphrase....it is written that a wise man once said, that "The Kingdom of Heaven is within." So, we need not seek any further.

If this is true, then the key to Peace for All, is at hand. We need only the courage to call upon it.

So, my friends, from deep within me...I say to you all, may we each find the courage....and, may Peace live within each of us, and within our families...forever.

Points to all who respond w/a message of Peace.

    Randall,
Inner peace comes from within. A balance of mind, body and epically spirit. Fortunate is the person in today's complex world who can achieve this for externally others can see this through how they live their life.

Wealthy is the man who can achieve this!

This is a season joy and reflection for all and to everyone may I wish you such peace: "for we are all children of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you, the universe is unfolding as it should."

What comes to mind from your message is Desiderata.

I am sure you have read it but their is not the space here to post it.

    Hi Randall:

    Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

"A united humanity will be able to confront the troubling problems of the present time: from the menace of terrorism to the humiliating poverty in which millions of human beings live, from the proliferation of weapons to the pandemics and the environmental destruction which threatens the future of our planet."

Pope Benedict XVI, December 25th, 2005

Thanks for starting this thread, Randall.

I treasure the fellowship we've nurtured on this forum and wish all of you peace and prosperity in 2006 and beyond.

Despite the troubles we witness throughout the world, we ARE blessed and can live in peace if we will only summon it from within.

Shalom and happy holidays to all.

One of the great mysteries in life since time began. The complexity, epically in today's world, is unfathomable.
We are talking on a global scale. This was part of my life's work.
Randall, the plan or campaign would be something I cannot go into detail about. Your question really hits home though.
I will be interested to see the genius proposals when posted.

I certainly don't have the answer, but I'd start by trying to understand what people currently feel/think about the status quo. It's possible that there are a lot of people who want peace but don't think there's much they can do about it. There are others who believe their leaders should make all the decisions and their role is to follow. Etc.

We need to know what the current mind-set is and how the target audience thinks before we can begin to deal with changing their perceptions. Chances are it will require different approaches for different segments of the market.

Examples: You probably wouldn't use the same copy with Israelis as with Palestinians, or with North Koreans as with Japanese or South Koreans, etc. You might not even use the same copy with liberal Democrats in the US as with right-wing Republicans. Etc. Etc.

We need to structure the project like a marketing project, if we're going to expect to deal with it as a mind-shifting process. We also need to know what the success metric will be. Is changing minds enough, or do we need a specific action?

    Neat question.

Sure. Nothing wrong at all. It should be that and I mean the "physical" peace part - non violence, no blood shed etc.

However from the mental part, being not in peace I think has helped the human race challenge many issues and set off thought leadership. Also it is always a greater joy to be at peace with oneself when one knows what it is to be not in peace with one self.

explore , enjoy..... may be suffer a bit in that process , one would be wiser at the end.

The problem with marketing 'peace' is that the word has been co-opted by so many different groups and causes that it has many, specific and contradictory meanings:

'Peace through strength' justifies military spending

'Peace through enlightenment' promotes new age religion

'Peace at any price' justifies revolution and terrorism

You get the idea ... everyone likes to wrap themselves in the spiritual flag of that word 'peace'.

I think we can only market peace in a personal way. You only change the world first by changing yourself, by adopting and living by the principles you believe in and wish for others ... demonstrating the example of your own 'peace benefits' through your life and your work.

In the words of our profession - live the brand and viral, WOM marketing will build.

In the meantime, I wish you peace in your hearts, peace in your lives and peace in our world.

And, as Tiny Tim observed, "God bless us - every one!"

Do you know what astonished me most in the world? The inability of force to create anything. In the long run the sword is always beaten by the spirit. Soldiers usually win battles and generals get the credit for them. You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war. If they want peace, nations should avoid the pin-pricks that precede cannon shots.

    Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
    Now who can top that....right?
