Wholesale Or Retail?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Thanks in advance to everyone who participates in this invaluable forum.. I appreciate all the feedback you have to share.

Our Clothing/Lifestyle Brand - Fear To Faith Industries has been around 1 year.. we're internet based and have been steadily promoting our brand through musicians, athletes, and events that consist of concerts, festivals etc. We have no retail store presence as of yet but we do have a descent web presence and majority of sales are done online. Any advice on what strategies to persue for the next year? I've hit a brick wall and of course we're not generating nearly the cashflow we need to have to keep things moving forward. We are in the process of creating a wholesale site but my biggest dilemma is wether to spend money on direct marketing or marketing to retailers so they can carry our lines... I wish I could do both but we don't have the resources.

www.feartofaith.com is the website

Thanks in advance.

    Hi JHM,

hope you're having a great day!

First thing I noticed is that your website takes to long to load up when you got to the different sections. Your website design for your target market probably needs to be aligned better with your brand and who you are trying to reach.

MOST IMPORTANT STRATEGY for 2006 is...
discover who your target market is. You can do this by getting to know your customers better.

    CUSTOMERS ARE THE KEY...
to your future and they are also the bridge to reaching others just like them.

FOCUS ON REPEAT PURCHASES, INCREASING REVISITS, AND EXPANDING ON GENERATING MORE REFERRALS...
Speak to them, interview them, find out why they buy from you? Find out what they think you need to do to interest them in revisting sooner, buying more or referring others to you. These things will guide you and impact you in tremendous ways.

If you read there are some books I refer you to. Please let me know. Remember our only real problem in life is our failure to be "MORE Creative" than we’ve ever been. If you “Invent” your opportunity YOU WILL most definitely create your future. Just know that I'm here for you if you need my help. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Rather than develop a network of wholesalers, I suggest you take a more direct to the market approach...

If I am not mistaken, you are promoting a Christian Rock -XSports lifestyle. I feel you can maximize your cash flow by selling direct at these events.

Another idea you might want to look into is setting your product up as a fund raiser for Church Outreach programs. Where you provide catalogs, they gather orders then you send them product...

I may be wrong but I don't think you have the resources to push your product out into the wholesale market yet...
