Strictly speaking the Product Management role is a supportive one. You support the channel with demos, product information & training and sample distribution. You support product developers with the right input on customers' requirement and their feedback on the samples and products. As suggested by Levon you could study about the competitors' products, their focus, how they distribute, how they disseminate the product information, how they send out the samples. You need to plan your tactics and strategy based on what your target group and what the product is (if the product is for female in the reproductive age group naturally it would be gynaecological route).
