Marketing To 16 To 21 Year Olds

Posted by rimagico on 250 Points
Our website sells a money management education course. The product is primarily intended for young people aged 16 to 22. However, the main target market is parents, who buy the course for their son/daughter.
Here is our money management course website: https://moneymanagement101.com/

Although our marketing focus has always been parents, we would also like to figure out a marketing technique to target young people directly. We don’t think young people would actually buy the product themselves. However we are trying to think of a way that young people might tell their parents about the product.

For example, many parents are reluctant to let their college age kids credit cards because they don’t trust their kids enough to use them responsibly.
We thought of marketing to young people with a message something like: Show your parents you have money skills, get the MoneyManagement101 course.

Our questions are: How can we motivate young people to tell their parents about our money management course.
Also, any ideas on how we might also get them to tell their friends about the course.

Any ideas about the above, or general suggestions about marketing our course would be truly appreciated.

Smart spenders have more fun. At the age you are targeting.. if it isnt fun you wont sell it.
