Posted by Anonymous on 300 Points
I am a graduate in finance and slowly getting more and more interested in marketing. Had a few questions I needed answers to. all of them are about brands so this sould be easy for you guys.
Like Product Life Cycles, do brands also have Life cycles? What is good branding? And lastly, how do I do brand valuation?

Thank you in advance,
Karen.

I think that brands do have a life cycle. The brand life cycle is that of the sum of the products under that brand name.

One product may go through its life cycle and then get replaced by a newer version as the old one is obsoleted. The brand would live on and continue through the growth or maturity stage, because the new version would keep the brand from becoming obsoleted.

    Hi,

I think brand have life cycle like Prodocts but t may be defferent from product life cycle.

One product from one company have a life cycle that is some of one or two or more brands of the brands life cycle.
Any brand for one product may have its own life cycle.
I have a post about it here: https://alirezamojahedi.blogspot.com/2007/01/blog-post_09.html
but it is in Persian and I will write it in English soon but if you visit the graphs you will get my idea.
The Red lines are PLC and Blue and Green are BLC (Brand Life Cycle)
