Thank You, Dear Friends And Colleagues

Posted by Anonymous on 1000 Points
How exciting is it to know that people from nearly every point on the globe, where there is commerce, can come together for the sole purpose of assisting others to make wise choices, in their first step, or their next step? And, all we do, is discuss...communicate...open our minds.

Perhaps we have all visited other "social" sites, and have watched as the negativity flowed w/o sight of end. We have moved on, and have each been provided the opportunity to advance our skills in life and in business, here.

Marketing Profs continues to grow and attract those with the future of our world, ahead of them. From the smallest idea, come giants of industry. From a thought, millions can prosper. From this site, we will see them.

We have also seen the hunger of students, whose idealism, we recall from days past, and perhaps still hold on, that we too may help make 'things' better, and 'better' things...and will continue to search for those opportunities.

This past year, as in many years, has been filled with challenges and change. One of my mentors, Dr. Oren Harari, a renown educator and author (University of San Francisco - "Leapfrogging the Competition"), writes - "Be prepared for change. Eat change for breakfast."

This site continuously is prepared for change, and the colleagues who participate, help to create change. It sounds trite, I know, but change creates opportunity.

I know I've rambled, but to a purpose, I hope. To each of you, during one of the most trying times in our history, I wish for positive change, in the new year. If we have accepted those who come here, sight unseen, so can the rest. To each of you, whether or however you celebrate this season, may the best of all your desires come to you and to your families. Thank you, for all you have done. And, you must believe that you truly have created miracles.

As always, if there is anything we can do, please...ask.

If the Beatles changed the world, certainly we have a chance.

Where there is fair commerce, there is no war.

When I started anew my life career and entered a rough path of consulting I happened upon that site. It was back in 2005 and despite what it seemed to me at that time I was more in need of learning sound lessons than giving them.
Thanks to people such as Randall I could realize how much I still need to learn to be able to make good on my promise to help businesses solve their problems and prosper.
If some of them can say today that I did help them a bit it's to great extent thanks to people like you Randall and many of my friends amongst MarketingProfs.
May this Christmas be Merry and White to all of you.

One of our Maximizer Business Partners from the 170 strong Maximizer BP forum wrote to me recently to enquire about all of us banding together in order to produce and provide some interesting case-studies.

I volunteered to join in and it’s looking good; I think that we’ll have press-worthy articles in abundance by next spring. I also told the BP’s about our MarketingProfs website and there is now a steady flow of my colleagues joining up in order to participate here.

They were astonished to discover that we had over 300,000 subscribers, thinking that we were just another small specialist site like theirs. When they had a look and saw quality of the people in the top 25, they have suddenly become very interesting in both reading the information herein and contributing to answers.

Now will you let me circulate the wonders my CRM consultancy, my expertise, and information about Maximizer, SalesVision, Reporting and Forecasting?!!!!

    Best wishes

Thanks Randall for reminding us of how great this forum really is. Just as Adam did, I had to consult for a year while waiting out a non compete contract, before starting a new interactive marketing company in September. During that time and after I have found I have learned, certainly, as much as I have given.

It is not technology or a cool name that makes a great social network. It is people and we have the best on this forum. I, as many of you, complain about the ungodly number of request for taglines and company names. Nevertheless, sprinkled amongst those requests and some sparkling gems of wisdom.

    Thanks to all.

Have a wonderful Christmas, Holiday and New Year.

I love this site! I find the quickie answers to be like solving puzzles - very relaxing and fun.

Much success to us all in 2008!

    Dear Randall

It was just late – Hilary and I had been sending Christmas Cards to a log cabin and the frozen wastes of nowhere in the Highlands. We hadn’t realised that Juliet and Ewan had moved into another log cabin based in a different frozen wasteland in the Highlands. Ewan's handy round trees, so no one, please, tell him about a) Alaska or b) Nova Scotia!!!

The pint glass was half full, by the way!
