Creative Ideas For 50 Anniversary Pharmacy Chain

Posted by Damaris on 500 Points
The company in which I work, has his 50th birthday this year in December. It is a chain of pharmacies/drugstores (there is more information in my profile). I need creative ideas to celebrate and to take advantage of this anniversary. The worry is that the budget that I have is very low. All their ideas will be well received. Thanks in advance.

How small????? Does this mean that your company can only afford to have custom made chocolates to hand out to so many clients? Does this mean that the company wants to place all the money into a simple banner? Please clarify.

    Thank you all,

bchjanead, I answer your question: our budget is pretty small for anniversary activities around the year, how small?, there isn't a number, it depends in the ideas I will present and my boss will decided if it could be, but I think it couldn't be more than $ 2,000 per month. But we count with almost $ 14,000 for a celebration nigth (likely a dinner with a show where the personal performs) for the company's personal in December. This money will be gathered from our providers.

I will apreciate any idea about activities or the dinner. Thanks in advance.

As a pharmacy you probably have contact details for your customers. A wise strategy would be to involve them all in planning the dinner event.

This could be done using a blog where every participant is acknowledged and glorified so that your customers begin to look forward to meeting each other at he event.

They can contribute thoughts on all subjects, ranging from the menu to the venue to the theme.

Create a sense of ownership among them. The most successful brands are the ones that consumers feel ownership towards. Harley for example.

Then, your budget and your size no longer remain constraints.

Sure hope this helps. All the best!

How about a visual history of your pharmacy - from where it began to where it is today. What did you sell then? Now? How has fashion changed? Treatments? Services? Prices?

For example, you could have all your sales people dressed up in vintage clothing. Or, reproduce old pharmacy signs to show your longevity. Or, a contest/quiz for guess what product was used to solve this ailment...50 years ago. Or, a random person will be given 50% off pricing (or pricing from 50 years ago). Simply bringing back an old-fashioned treat (a lollypop sucker, for example) would generate a lot of reminiscing... and a chance to thank those that have been shopping with you for 50 years.

Who's your oldest customer? Who's your longest standing customer? Can you get in contact with them and get them to cut a cake in your oldest store. Bring them to the store in a 1948 car.

Do you have photographs of old store layouts, or better still can show how the products you sell have changed. The candies are a good idea.

And don't forget your new customers - the babies and children. Could you organise a 'generations' party - the elderly together with new mums - probably your main target markets.
