What To Charge For Campaign

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
In the process of designing a website for a client (medical professional) I came up with a brilliant slogan; something that would be his brand. He's a young, intelligent professional with a bright career ahead of him. I know he values my marketing expertise. But what $ value do I put on said slogan if he wants to use it?

Of course I am also asking my legal counsel how to protect this idea so he can't use it without compensating me.

You could TM / Copyright the tagline yourself and try to fetch the highest price, but you would be out a couple of hundred and that is before you even find out if he likes or dislikes the line. Just mention to him that you have a brilliant tagline you coined that you are willing to sale to him in addition to the site services. If he agrees proceed in revealing it. Marketers take these kind of risks all the time. Its a ethical thing to not steal from someone and hopefully a doctor would understand this.
