Ideas Needed For Brand Name

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
As of now, the company's name is Celiac Delights, however, I'm not that content with it. I am looking for some ideas to help me come up with a new brand/company name.

History: My parents own a family owned and operated Italian restaurant that caters gluten-free food to customers who have a gluten-intolerance such as Celiac disease. We started serving gluten-free Italian food because my mom has Celiac disease and thought we could make a profit from selling it to the Celiac community around our restaurant. The restaurant, Caffe Baldo, is somewhat well known in the Celiac community. We have had people come from all over the U.S to eat at our restaurant. I am trying not to use Caffe Baldo as my company's name. Many of the customer's know my mom's name, Joanne. My mom also puts a smiley face on the take-out/doggy bags that are gluten-free.

Customers: Americans who have a gluten-intolerance, are on a gluten-free diet, and/or have Celiac disease.

My products will sell because there is no other company that sells Italian case-ready meals in the gluten-free marketplace. My product is similar to Lean Cuisine. Frozen meals ready to be microwaved. FYI, the gluten-free food does not taste like cardboard, like so many gluten-free products do. The dishes actually taste very good. Foods that will be marketed are Chicken Parm, Chicken Marsala, Lasagna, Ziti alla Vodka, Garlic Knots, and maybe Pizza. These food products are already sold in our restaurant and receive great compliments from our gluten-free customers.

Location: We reside in Wantagh, NY (Long Island).

Future Market: E-commerce

If I was suffering from Celiac's disease and was searching the internet, I probably would use the phrase Gluten-free as my search word. My little SEO knowledge suggests the workd GlutenFree should be in the title. So maybe GlutenFree Gourmet?

To me, celiac has a negative connotation. You are reminded that you have a disease and it does not put you in the mood to enjoy food.

Somebody suggested something along the lines of Gluten-free Gourmet, which is very straight forward, easy to find, and it conveys the idea that there are yummy things for people suffering celiac disease. I like it!.

Also agree that gluten-free are the keywords when looking for food.

Thank you everyone for your input. It has definitely got me thinking about the idea of having 'gluten free' in my company's name.

    What do you think about...
    Gluten-Free MicroMeals
    Gluten-Free MicroDinners
    Gluten-Free MicroFoods
Which one do you think is the better brand name for my product?

I did an internet search yesterday and found out there is a web site that is listed as gfdelights, therefore, I'm thinking that I should not use original company name of Celiac Delights and like what Eva stated, "To me, celiac has a negative connotation. You are reminded that you have a disease and it does not put you in the mood to enjoy food." It would probably not be a good idea to have the word Celiac in the title.
