Brand Identity For Start Up Obs/gyn Practice

I am an emerging entrepreneur in Africa who has just discovered a gap in the health sector in my country. I am developing a business plan, but need as much info as possible regarding start up for a women's health facility , i.e. obs/gyn. I am looking to create an upmarket medium-sized facility with the best specialists and technology. Still need help with a name and branding strat.

    Thanks. I'm yet to embark on further research and surveys, but the websites look very helpful so far. "Freedom" sounds different from the rest here, and appeals to the customer emotionally. Still open to more ideas!

    For name: you need a name that reflects the clientele you're hoping to attract. What feeling do you want to convey to them? High-tech? Comfortable/reassuring? Efficient? Cost-conscious?

    I strongly suggest that you create a marketing strategy for your business first. Understand exactly who you're trying to attract, what problem of theirs that you solve, why they should trust you to solve it, and how your offerings compare to your competition.

    You should hire a brand name development company to help you with creating a name for your company. Below are links to Name Base and Lexicon.

    These companies charge between $25k and $50k to help you develop a name.

    If you don't have the budget to hire a brand development company, make sure to hire a trademark attorney or a trademark search company. It is important to make sure that there are no conflicting marks so do an international search.

    The best place to find more information about health facilities is a book store or local library. You probably can find great books on health facilities at Barnes and Noble [ www.BarnesAndNoble.com ].
