I'm a recent college graduate and this will be my first attempt at starting a business.
I have an idea for a service that will be similar to CitySearch that will be free for users but I will monetize it by having businesses advertise on it. I have an idea for the name of the service but I don't know how to copyright the name. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Also I've noticed that there is a chain of stores in a different region of the country that use this name also. Will this pose a problem? Especially considering that the service is free for users?
