Marketing To Healthcare Professionals

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My firm establishes international operations for the healthcare industry in the US and Canada. We offshore medical billing services. So far our growth has been strictly referral based. We are looking to expand faster now. A cold calling campaign over the past three months has been largely inneffective. Any suggestions on how we might successfully contact key decision makers of hospitals / clinics / doctors groups?

Well, most of the medical in Canada is government run, so your best best is the doctors themselves. The doctors have to submit their billings to the health departments, then await payments. Why not try a piggyback with some of the pharamcuetical reps. They are making calls anyway, why not use them as a lead generator and prequalify leads?

Have you tried to going any conferences for Hospital administrators or Dr Office Managers. These seem like the people you need to reach. These people must attend some professional events. Be sure that you advertise there.

Work out a deal with your current clients to give them a big discount/rebate on their billing if they will make a few calls to their peers at other facilities. They have probably met them a conferences, etc. It would not be a big stretch for them to make a call (send email) that sounds something like this, "Hey John, this is Jim over at Mercy Hospital. We met at the symposium in Atlanta that dealt with cost containment in the industry. I wanted to let you know about a new service that I discovered. It has save me thousands and I wanted you to know about it.............."
