    Most people go the other way. They have a product and want to market it.

    This sounds like you want to market and need a product.

    You need to offer people something that is helpful, and thus desireable, at a good value while offering excellent service.

    I agree with Mikee - the route you are talking about is the opposite of what many people do.

    You could go to trade shows outside your market an see what people have to offer, then work on bringing those products to your market.
