Why do you need the marketing strategy to sound more professional? Who is going to see it beside you?

Is it the thinking you need help with or the "polish" on a document that you will share with others?

If you're comfortable that your strategy is right, I would worry less about how "professional" it sounds and more about how to translate the strategy into a set of action plans that you can implement and track.

I believe that one source of very good information about businesses are the annual reports filed by public companies in the States.

For example, here is a link to an annual report for company in your industry:

    https://www.secinfo.com/dsvrp.2CGy.htm#_002

You can probably get some ideas about how to beef up your marketing plan from this and similar annual reports.

(By the way, I found this on googling +“10-K” +“ computer services" )

I would also suggest that you visit www.sba.gov and look at some of their advice on marketing and business plans.

There are a lot of good resources on here as well. For example a quick search for "marketing strategy" yielded the following nice little primer.

    https://www.marketingprofs.com/6/popky2.asp

You didn't specify the purpose for your plan (strictly guidance, attracting investors, etc) but whatever the case may be make sure it is a realistic set of strategies, market assumptions, resource estimates, goals and tactics. Most importantly, don't make the mistake of getting so wrapped up in the day-to-day operations of your new endeavor that you forget to revisit and revise your strategic plan.

Feel free to email me here if you have any other questions.

    Best of luck!
