Client Side & Agency Side

Could someone please provide a basic outline of what the terms Client Side and Agency Side actually mean

    Client side means you are an employee of the end company, like a director of marketing at ABC Company.

    Agency side means you are out there trying to win the business and serve the needs of the client.

    The client goes to lunch. The agency picks up the check.
