    Dear Miguel,

Ilan's figures are accurate, but you've got to understand that the breadth of the numbers will depend on:

Client; market and market sector; product, and product type; budget and budget breakdown; product, category, location and country of client; location and country of brand and design company (or companies, plural); production costs; personnel involved; hours billed; copyright, legal, and intellectual issues; and any and all unforeseen hurdles, barriers, and problems.

Then, and only then will you being adding in line items for marketing and advertising costs. And suddenly, Toto, you're not in Kansas any more.

There's also a great deal more to marketing, advertising, persuasion, and branding than simply sticking a logo on a letterhead and sending the client a huge bill.

The other thing to bear in mind is the conditions of this forum.

    Quote:

    "KHE is not:
    A monologue or announcements board
A static forum that rehashes the same issues every week
A group of professionals who do students' homework."

By all means ask questions. But ask where you can find sources and information on your own. Ask for fewer outright answers and more guidance and you'll not only learn more, but you'll also have the satisfaction of having unearthed the information on your own, thereby making your research and your voice more original.

I'm a new contributor to this forum, but an old hand. This forum is a vital resource, but alas dear heart, it's not here as a homework or college project source. Treat it as such and you'll belittle both the intent and goodwill of its contributors, and you'll muddy your job as a student to find things out for yourself, to carry out original research, and to learn through your own efforts.

This is not an attack on you, so please, don't take it as such.
It's intended as a voice of reason to aid you in your studies. Used wisely, this forum will make you a better marketer. But what will stand you in far greater stead is your ability to be, and to carve out for yourself, an original voice.

    Good luck to you.

Dear Gary, thanks for your recommendation, today is my first day in "KHE" , I understand the charge of the services depend of the business and the client and all the stuff you talk about.

The objective of this investigation is to have a idea of the real demand of brand agency and have better context in my report.

You know this kind of information is not available so easy and objective or another case, trusted. And that's why I was searching all of kind source to try to get a information can help me to clarify this investigation.

I will grateful if you can help me with a numeric estimation, like Ilan, the first post.

    thanks for the time.

    regards,

    Miguel

    Dear Miguel,

You sound a little ticked off. Beg to differ, but the information you’re looking for is available. But you must be prepared to search for it. Three minutes on Google and I came up with the following list of sources, from which it’s possible to find all manner of information:

    www.allaboutbranding.com

    www.imageworksstudio.com/client-lounge/articles-tips/setting-a-marketing-ad...

    www.brandingmatters.net/branding-cost-or-investment/

    www.brandweek.com

    www.brandchannel.com

    www.businessweek.com/innovate/brandequity

    www.brandweek.com

You’ll find the list of White Papers on the Brand Channel website particularly rich in information.

Your original post said nothing about your understanding of charges dependant on business, hence the reason for my inclusion of such.

Too often, the blindingly obvious is omitted in haste to get to the
    peak.

I urge you to slow down and take the time to comb through the resources at your disposal, and to give as much detail as possible in your questions. Both approaches will aid education, and your rise through the ranks.

With this approach, you’ll go far. And rightfully so.

All right. You wanted numeric estimation, like Ilan.

    Here you go:

Names and naming services: $25,000-$1,000,000 and up
Design and design management: $500-$2,500,000 and up
    Strategic planning: $1,000-$9,000,000 and up

True, my figures differ from Ilan’s. Bear in mind that both lists
are estimates. I’ve seen higher and lower, as I’m sure have
others here. Vague questions such as “How much?” will always
be followed by the answer “It depends”.

And as per Phil’s response, it will always depend on who the
client is and on the scope of services. If the client is poor or shy about investing, the scope they’ll request will shrink accordingly.

    The opposite is also true.

Different clients are driven by different urges, which is where we enter the wild and wooly world of scope creep. Oh, the joys! But that’s a topic for another discussion.

Regardless of your opinion of my opinion, I really do wish you well, and my advice is offered with the best of intention toward your success.

    Good luck to you.

    Dear Allan,
I want to thank you for the input you gave to me. This information has really helped me a lot, and in addition to what the other gays told me I can have a pretty good idea of how big branding enterprises work.
I would like to thank Gary for taking the time to explain this stuff to me. Ilan and Phil were great help too. I hope to continue in touch with you at the forum to keep chatting about branding issues
