Philip Kotler is a mastermind! This is the question I forgot to ask him last time:

What single most piece of advice would you give to any marketer trying to make a mark in their marketplace?

Companies that don't appropriate much money to marketing and advertising are constantly raiding that money to pay for other things. I can't think of a succesful company that doesn't have a marketing department.

Why is enterprise marketing management taking so long to really play in the main stream corporate world like ERP and the like?

    Thanks,

    Steve

I'd be interested in his take on the importance of social media, and Web 2.0 generally, on marketing. Will the new media have a fundamental long-term affect on Marketing, or are they just other media (like radio and television once were)? Have they changed the way we approach marketing strategy? Branding?

    Dear Grzegorz Kiszluk,

Here's my question for Philip Kotler:

Of all the things that small business owners do with their marketing, (businesses with up to 15 employees and no more than $2.5 million
in gross revenue), what is the on thing they most often do wrong and how can they fix it?

    My questions:
    1. It's easier to write a book, than start a business of your own - Please comment.

    2. His favorite definition for "Marketing"?

    3. Is selling an Idea different than selling a product?

    4. For every anomalies theres human error behind - is it the same for every market place? ( marketeers error )

    5. Three unexplained behaviors, patterns in Marketing?

    6. Your ( kotler's ) take on MBA in marketing specialisation.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards
    Rome
