Branding Agency Rfp Best Practices

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
We're considering engaging a branding agency to help us discover and clarify our brand idea. Anyone have any samples or best practices for Branding Agency RFPs? What to include, what not to include? We're not looking for help with implementing the brand, just an experienced brand strategist to guide us through the process.

At this stage; you will need to ensure access to the correct consumer.

Find someone who can evaluate your ultimate consumer; that person or group will know how to make sure your product gets in front of the right audience, at the right price.

You are right to ask first about the RFP, because the key to success for positioning/branding projects is almost always getting the expectations set properly for all participants -- including the consultant.

You want to be sure the RFP identifies the deliverables and the process specs, and you probably want to consider whether you expect the consultant to also be responsible for recommending any customer/market research as part of the process, or whether you already have a good (and objective) base of hard data on your target audience.
