Estimating Price Premium

Given a product category and a consumer segment, I would like to know what research methods are available to assess the average price premium that consumers are willing to pay for Brand A over Brand B for products with similar caracteristics.

    Hi mvocale

    Although i am not a researcher, you can do
    - Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with target segment. this will allow you to come up with the Average price premium consumers are willing to accept and spend.
    - a detailed survey in which you will give consumers the option of various price slabs of premium they are willing to accept. But this method might not work as effectively as FGD as the responses vary greatly over time.
