Loyalty Program For Butchery Business B2c

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
My husband's free range butcher business is 12 months old. We sell online and at weekly farmers/organic market.s We now have a steady base of customers - some who purchase $200+ from us every week and we need to ensure that we retain them.

We're considering introducing a loyalty scheme (available to all customers) and are after suggestions on framework and tips of what to avoid.

Some ideas we've had:

1/ Total up value of purchases in a given month/quarter and then offer a redemption certificate for X% of their value spent.

2/ Each purchase over $X entitles the customer to a 'stamp' and after Y number of stamps they would receive some free product (no time limit to when the purchases must be made). In this model frequent purchases would receive free product more often, but it's not relative to their spending value.

All suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on your success. I happen to be one of those that love my butcher and often just tell him what I'm making and let him take care of the rest.

Completely agree with Marcus on both the volume based program and the free-bees -- a few well chosen bones or trim pieces thrown in at no charge for gravy can take a meal from good to great.

How about a "preferred customer program" to give your regular customers special cuts or expedited service at holidays instead of free product? If your customers love the product, they're happy to pay for it. You can make them feel special without giving it away. Good home cook recipes and tips given at strategic times can also go a long way.

    Continued good business,
    Margaret
