Google Analytics Returned Visitor Tracking

Hello there,
I need some advice from you.
For example first visit to my site was from facebook and after some days same visitor go to my site trough direct hit and make transaction. So the thing i want to know - is it possible to track each returned visitor by his first entry point on site ? Or maybe there are other services with this feature ?

    You have a couple of basic options: use a service that supports HTTP cookies (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie) or a service that tracks IP address with finer granularity.

    Google analytics is able to capture the first, previous, or last (default) referrer.

    It's too involved to cover here. I recommend Brian Clifton's Book "Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics". See page 205 "Capturing the First and Last Referrer of a Visitor" which covers the required modifications to the Google Analytics Tracking Code (GATC) and the corresponding advanced filter which are required to accomplish this.
