Alternative Corporate Christmas Gifts

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi Folks,

Given the fact that 2009 was a tough year financialy with a lot op people looding their jobs or taking pay cuts is it still appropriate to send out corporate gifts such as hampers to clients?

Secondly I was wondering if anybody could suggest an alternative corporate christmas gift that we could send to our clients to show our appreciation for their business.

All suggestions welcome!!!

Many Thanks

Definitely still appropriate. Don't you appreciate your customers even more?

Just stay away from decorative things. Chocolate is good. You can also send a donation in their name. Just be sure it's to something like Red Cross or Salvation Army or any of the relief organizations. Few people can argue THEIR political stances.

    PG,

A donation in the name of a charity is a good idea.
You could send your customers a Christmas card in which you ask them to choose one of three charities for you to donate to.

List three nonprofits on the card -- besides including an organization that helps people (like Red Cross or Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind), list an organization that helps animals (like North Shore Animal League or the Humane Society of The United States).

Another gift idea is a "thank you" Christmas card with a certifcate enclosed that your customer can exchange for a product you offer or can use toward a future purchase/order.

    All the best,
