Get Sales Force Pumped About Selling Product

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
As part of the interview process for a brand manager job i have been asked to create a "launch plan" presentation of 10-15 pages. Was not given much info. other than the goal is to get the sales force pumped about the prospect of selling this item. What i am looking for is any help with the organization and outline, what slides i will need to include. So far i came up with:

Product
Target
Competitive
Marketing/Sales support
Pricing
Product roll out timeline

can you provide any information about the organization of the salesforce? For example, are they straight commission, or base plus commission? You sell directly or through resellers or channel partners? Will this product be a large percentage of the sales for the company, or might it get lost in the mix?

i'll tell you what i know. I have no idea how they are compensated and that wouldn't be my focus. The sales force would be selling mainly to distributors but mentioned they'd like my ideas on who else they could sell to but mostly B2B. Product will not be large % of sales Just a new product added to existing line of products. The idea is truly to see if i can be creative and put together a presentation. (as i have no experience with this)

    THIS WHAT I WAS TOLD:
your goal: get the sales force pumped about the prospect of selling this item in. Be as creative as you like, and don't worry if you have to "make up" a few numbers as part of your "story" (e.g., Preferred 2-to-1 over). You're showing us how you think, what you believe it will take to sell a new item in, and of course, your presentation skills (ability to organize a coherent presentation).

And I'm hoping for help with a outline of what i need to include. or slide titles.
