How Can Search Agencies Better Help Their Clients?

What do you think search engine marketing agencies could do better when serving their clients? What is it that you just don't feel they get or understand? How can they be a better agency? I am researching the relationship between search agencies and their clients and how it can be improved on both sides.

    The range of needs, services and quality is so broad that there is no way to answer your question.

    You're asking about how an entire industry/process can be improved, but the quality among current players varies so much from provider to provider, and client to client, that there isn't any way to say what could be done better.

    I've done several projects with clients and agencies to find ways of improving (or saving) the relationship, getting better advertising, and streamlining the creative development process. But it has always been very specific to the one client and one agency.

    Doing something like that for a broad (and ill-defined) industry boggles the mind. You may want to redefine the objective of your research.
