Yes, www.beautifulmingles.com is a dating web site. Would you please be specific with your answer.

    Dear kiratpatel2020,

Before Karen (or anyone else for that matter) can be specific
with an answer YOU'VE got to offer more information.

Who will your site target? (and don't say "everyone"). Will you offer dating partners based on gender, income, sexual preference, geography, religion, occupation, or age?

Is your site just for men seeking men, men seeking women (or men seeking both), OR is it for women seeking men, women seeking women, (or women seeking both)?

Whoever your target is you need a landing page for each target group. In dating, one size does NOT fit all. This means each page needs to be optimized so that the person landing on that page knows they're in the right place for them.

However, if you opt for just one landing page you MUST offer drop down menus so that people can find what they're looking for and your sales paths MUST be crystal clear.

    I hope this helps.

The more targeted your landing pages, the more successful you're likely to be. Of course, the basic offer and positioning have to be right, you have to make sure the messages match, etc. But those things all being equal, targeted will outperform general every time.

And even when you're highly targeted, you might want to sub-segment your site visitors further so you can learn even more about what it will take to appeal to the next wave of site visitors.

To optimize your conversion rate you will need to create multiple landing pages. The key to successful landing pages is to mirror the interest of the user. A single male has different interests than a female, etc. Based upon your response you will have numerous market segments to target and each will likely require a landing page.

You can further expand your landing page list by including landing pages per campaign and per offer.

Exclude pages from SE indices that have duplicate content (minor revisions but essentially the same content).

The same approach can be implemented for organic search though you will want those pages indexed and you will need to create unique content on each of those keyword-targeted pages.

I think days of questioner's two URLs (9/18/2010 3:14 PM (CST),
and 9/19/2010 9:19 PM (CST) as hidden back links in his responses
    above might be numbered.

@Gary, I agree. The other new thread was a fairly clear signal.
