They CAN, but they would be wrong.

A claim is one thing. Proof is another. Claims can be made and upheld, but they can also be shown to be wrong. But proof is bullet resistant, and with this resistance comes integrity. A brand with integrity can do no wrong because it instills belief and trust. Breach these two essentials in your marketing and you'll go down in smoke and flames.

No. People know better these days and if they don't know immediately, they can easily find out. If you're discovered to be lying, your brand is dirt.

I am personally a fan of honesty. I believe that you should do your job as though your boss and your customers were looking over your shoulder.

It seems to be as though the tagline you have proposed is a lie, plain and simple. sorry, I don't condone that.

It might be possible to have a tag line like, "handcrafted Jonesville quality". The emphasis is on the quality, and not on the location of manufacture.

However, the only way this could honestly be done would be for you to have strict quality control arrangements with your manufacturer, and direct control over the methods of manufacture.

For example, restaurants often advertise "homemade". This refers to the quality of the recipe and ingredients and method of cooking rather than the location of the cooking.
