    Hi Ravi,

I would suggest you to do your research in some of teh big apparal stores like central, shoppers stop and lifestyle.

Now coming to the branding value and brand loyalty in apparel domain.

I believe apparel market is very competitive now a days and lot of marketers are targetting verious segments of customer. If you see the behavior of young students - Male, they go woth style, they prefere to change their cloths very frequently and try to be in sync with the new fashion trends. same case with same segment in girls. Now coming to anpother segment which is entry level professional to late tweentees..... mainly junior to middle management. they want a specific set of cloths, which will maintain their professionalism and still be confert. This segment generally prefere to go with quality and carry a same cloth for a little longer period compared to the collage going students. This segement has some sort of brand conciousness. Next segment comes is between early thirtees to late 50's. Here maority of people are brand concious. becuase by this time, they achieve a certain income level, they have better society and different level of culture to maintain. Lat segment is beyong beyond 60. this age group generally not brand concious. Becuase of less social life, less outings and generally less workouts. This all makes this segment the least brand concious segment.

Now if you see, what a customer looks for from an apparel. One a conferteness of wearing and carrying it. Another it should suit your style image. So here is the brand proposition. As per the target market segment, you need to bring regular innovation in terms of cloth quality, designs and colours; ensures the comferteness of wearing the cloth and finally value for money.

i think these points would be enough for you to make a start for your dessertation.

    Hope this will help you.

Basically, this is a homework question.

You want forum contributors to give you the answers to your questions so that you can copy and paste them, do very little of your own work, and look like goody two shoes. If you're going to write about branding, take the time to do some essential reading and thinking on the subject. By the sound of your questions, you have no knowledge of what you're planning to write about and, it seems, no opinions either.

What do YOU think influences the points you've raised? What's your opinion? How do you see these areas moving? And what do YOU think drives people's loyalties?

You asked "Is (the) Indian youth brand loyal?"

"What (are the) factors influencing their brand loyalty?"

"(Could we) identify strategies used to create brand loyalty?"

"(Outline the) factors that lead to the erosion or creation of brand loyalty in (the) Indian apparel market."

Here's the thing that ticks me off about your questions: You've made NO attempt here—NONE—to give us an indication of your thinking, of your opinions, or of the work you've already done, which, by the sounds of it, is very little.

And you're writing a thesis? To get a degree?

My best advice to you, and advice you're probably not going to like and will probably complain about, is as follows:

If you want better answers, ask better questions and take the time to show some evidence of your thought processes.
