Manage Corporate Branding With 2 Partner Companies

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points

My consulting company has just partnered with another, more technical-experienced company. Together we complement each perfectly to offer our clients a complete renewable energy solution.

We naturally have 2 logos but since the partnership have decided on acting as "one team". We will have installation vehicles, company t-shirts, etc. and I am wondering what is the best way to promote both companies but put on a "one team" face in front of the client.

Thanks Monmark- really helpful indeed. We want to keep both companies separate because our firm has a broader vision of working towards sustainable development on every sector in the long-term (food industry, policy level, education, etc.) and this is just the energy branch. This partnership is structured so that we own 20% of their company and they own 20% of ours. We are the "intellectual" division (project management, financial modeling, local/international relations, environmental branding, policy) part of the equation, and they are the technical experts bringing solid 20 years experience in solar installations from Germany (crucial in this country as it is a new industry). So, although we want to keep our individuality (and independence), we also want to be associated with long standing knowledge of the industry and quality, which is what gives us a competitive advantage. We are entering the market as leaders-- there is no competition for their level of expertise and our services/background is also not yet seen here, which is why it is a perfect union. We want to avoid the "we" and "them" but I just don't know if there is an in-between. Thoughts?
