Recommendations For Seo/sem Courses Or Training

Posted by caerus on 125 Points
Hi all

I've recently been searching for some training around SEO/SEM for myself, but am feeling a little under whelmed with the offerings I'm finding.

I've seen lots of sites offering training, but little or no formal qualifications or subjective reviews of the content and effectiveness of the courses.

Has anyone out there got any recommendations for a good solid course or series of seminars that will give me a good grounding in SEO (pref. online, as I'm not in the US).

The reason behind this is I'd like more control in my business, rather than leaving it up to an agency.

Thank you!

SEMPO has courses. You should also participate in forums and SEO sites like SEOBook and SEOMoz, etc.

Check local colleges for digital marketing curriculum. I know NYU is offering a certificate course in digital marketing. But if you're not from the Big Apple, do a search on Google for similar courses in your area.

I'm finding that a traditional school setting is less distracting than online study, unless you can go to a local library and isolate yourself for a few hours, which is what I do on some Saturdays.

MarketingProfs is a great place, though, to get a good grasp of SEM and SEO, from actual practitioners. With a Pro membership, you'll have access to hundreds of hours of seminars as well as articles and how-to guides.

    Best of luck!
