Should We Launch?

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Hi guys! Thanks in advance.
We recently performed a market test on our consumer product. We ranked 6.8 in Purchase Intent, 8.0 in Likability, 7.0 in Believability, 6.8 in Uniqueness and 6.6 in Size of Problem. We want to know if anyone is familiar with these scores and tell us if we should launch the product. We wanted to get a second opinion aside from the company that did the market test. Our intentions is to launch an informercial. Your input is highly appreciated.

I'd be glad to give you a professional "second opinion," but I would want a more in-depth understanding of your goals and the research, and I would expect a reasonable fee for the involvement and expertise I bring to the party.

FWIW, I have hands-on experience in cleaning products and have taught market research and marketing strategy at the graduate level (MBA program), so I feel I am highly qualified for this.

Interesting, and I agree that we need more information. The one thing I would like to know: how did other concepts score on these metrics? Does your market test company have a database to tell you the range and average of past products? Even better, did they track what happened to launched products so they can tell you the average scores of the products that ultimately failed versus those that were successful?
