Web Content Intake Form

I am looking for resources or examples of web intake forms or processes. Specifically, I am developing an intake process within our enterprise to track content requests from various areas within the organization.

Suggestions anyone?

    I am looking for best practices for content requests internally. What are the key components to capture when content requests are made internally? For example, there are more than 200 individuals within the organization across a myriad of business units that request content changes on a daily basis. We want to streamline that process and execute a strategy that starts with content intake all the way through to content publishing.

    My second issue sort-of turns the argument back on you. Because each situation is unique, and yours is no exception. Your customer profile will differ from other companies offering the same services. My point is that when you say "more than 200 individuals [...] request content changes on a daily basis" my bet is that many of them are requesting a very similar operation (or wanting the same outcome). It might be adding a blog post or changing a landing page. Am I on the right path here?

    So: what are the most common requests made? Who is making them, and how are they handled now? Looking at things from your customers' point of view usually irons out a great number of issues from the word go. You don't have 8,000 things to consider - you have twelve or so (allowing for individual circumstances). Just knowing what they want of you is usually enough to get systems rolling effectively.

    Sure, it's a lot more effort than reading through someone else's report on their system - but would that actually work for you? Would their assumptions and their suggestions lead you up the wrong trail?

    Disclaimer: my point of view is your customer and their needs. In my experience, putting them first usually solves a good number of fundamental problems that can fox people. My apologies if this hasn't spoken to you.

    Moriarity - thanks for your feedback and for the link. I wanted to see what others might be doing when taking content requests so that I don't miss something obvious. Indeed, every corporation is different even if providing similar services. But some things would be standard, no? Like SME, Budget, Cost Center. Start date, End Date, Content type, etc.

    I will take a look at that link you provided and see if there is anything there that I may have overlooked in the draft intake form I created. Ultimately we will use SharePoint for the requests and automate where possible for communication and tracking purposes. Again, many thanks!

    KSA - thanks for your links as well. Good suggestion on using a different term to search for intake form examples or best practices. I will review those links and do a Google search for Change Request Form and see what turns up.
