Paying Monthly Subscription Fee News Tab On Facebo

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I have about 9200 fans on FB. Not all of them are local to me at all. I would like to expand my reach to the local area through other means than just advertising my facebook & promoting it using FB. I researched how to grow your page to 100K quickly. Online I found that someone used this company www.fannewscast.com. This is how they describe what they do: We would need to understand the target audience that you would like to reach and convert as fans. Our platform has over 800 curated content channels and can stream content to Facebook, mobile, internet sites and/or email newsletters

The person grew their page from using this and then using another to continue the growth. I think all of this is what you call targeted marketing? They charge $50/mo. Is it worth it? DO you have any other suggestions or ideas? here's my page: https://www.facebook.com/ConsignandDesignGainesvilleGA
Thanks!

Before you try growing more, what bottom-line benefits have you noticed from your 9200 fans? Increased sales? Increased inquiries? If you're unsure, then having 100,000 fans wouldn't likely benefit your business.

So, 100,000 Facebook likes for $50 a month, eh?

It's your money. Do with it as you see fit.

Were I in your shoes, the first thing I'd do is contact some of the clients outlined on the site above and ask them lotS of questions about time lines, service delivery, ease of working relationship, costs, numbers of LIKES obtained and over what period of time and with what kind of consistency.

Then, you need to ask yourself what you'll DO with all those shiny new page LIKES. The point being that a LIKE on Facebook is a bauble: nice to have, but pretty useless unless it can be taken farther.

To be clear: I am NO EXPERT on social media. That said, of the Facebook pages of the clients outlined by the company above, I saw a few opt-in pages, and a few calls to action to ask people to LIKE pages. I also saw a healthy range of page like statistics in terms of volume ... which is great.

My questions to the owners of these numbers are:

    1. How long did it take to achieve them?
    2. What were those numbers before the client began working with your proposed vendor?
    3. What other strategies have clients used, and with what effect?
    4. What are those clients DOING with all those new LIKES?
    5. How are those clients MESSAGING to those new LIKES and how are they segmenting the responses to those messages to those new LIKES?
    6. How are those clients making USE of their new LIKES?
    7. How many ADS on Facebook also drove those LIKES? And over what time, at what cost,
with what kind of CTR, and to what kind of landing page, content, or offer?

What I did not see in the pages I looked at was a certain magic element—which I'm happy to share—but that would need to be for considerably more than a portion of 50 points. Why? Because just like you, as elements of trade, my time and knowledge also have fiscal value.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.

Let's get one thing straight: if they're charging $50 a month, it is not "targeted marketing" ! Targeted marketing is expensive because the consultants who do it are clever - and demand large sums because they use their own skills to their own ends. If you can find one, it's well worth the money spent as targeted marketing pays big dividends.

Who of your likers has bought or engaged? This is the key to Facebook. If you use their paid advertising algorithm (which I will be doing as soon as it hits Europe ... ) the insights it can bring you will startle you. Reaching out in this way is incredibly effective when targeted carefully. You can target them using all sorts of metrics like profession, make/model of car and location along with 5,000 other things ... plus they'll bring you insights they've generated themselves on the basis of the likes so far.

ADD THIS: when you're on Facebook you accept their ads by default - no ad-blockers that stop the Google display network ads from showing!!

Feeding back the info from your paid campaigns into your other activities will see a blossoming of your campaign. It's fast, cost effective and amazingly powerful. Find out more here at Perry Marshall's Facebook site: https://isfbforme.com

Sometimes having alot of fans does not guarantee more business. In my opinion instead of using this website that you metioned I think that you could get more results by advertising on facebook. Advertising through facebook will also give you the ability to reach out to potential customers in terms of geographical area, age etc.

Thank you for your responses. I won't be using the mentioned company now that I've heard back from everyone. I will read Perry Marshall's FB advertising info and apply it.
Gary, I am curious about the certain magic element on FB pages.
