It would help us to better understand more about your school and your students. How long has the school been around? Who is likely to take your classes? Where? What age? How does your school compare to other animation schools - and also to how people may be learning animation on their own? What's your budget?

Who is your primary target audience? Where? How do they typically find you?

When you say you want to pursue a branding strategy, what exactly is the objective? Why do you want to "brand" the school?

I want to brand the school so that we can gain more students as in Cambodia people want to study in a school that sounds like a brand n they trust those type of schools who have a good branding.

I have just joined the marketing team of SADA school Cambodia which is a franchise of SADA India.
In Cambodia we need more students so I need to help them market the school n also create a branding. Till now the marketing team are approaching other universities to send their students to study the animation courses either joint venture or the students can enroll n the universities can charge commissions. But I want to create our name in such a way that the students come to us not we run after them. So this is the approach I wanna take n budget is not a problem as long as it is justified n convincing to the chairman

Have your students make videos about your school. It'll showcase both your school & student abilities. Or, have a contest for best video and/or graphic - and have the public vote on the entries.

Students will go to places they have heard of that have won awards. I'd work on placing your students in prominent places like ad agencies which will then reflect back on the school's credibility. The school name will get known if your pupils become known and the immediate name isn't so important. Push your students to enter competitions - or run open competitions yourself with even showcases and see if you can get the winners run on TV news or run as shorts in film festivals etc.
