Giveaway Ideas For Seminar

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm planning a seminar for a new engineering seminar and am trying to think of creative ways to set up my giveaways. I'd like to give away none or two large items along with some smaller items. I'd like to engage my audience in some sort of participation event, though our time will be limited to 60 minutes so I cant' do anythign too elaborate. I'd also like to be able to collect names/contact info from those participating. Any ideas?

Tell us more about the event. Who's attending? Why? What's notable about your presentation/technology/services? What have you done before? What's your budget? What type of give aways - and how do they tie into your business?

What's the purpose of the giveaways? Are they strictly a way to gather contact information? Are you using the giveaways as bait to get something extra from the attendees? Why are these folks coming to the seminar to begin with? Is it strictly for the giveaways?

If you give us more details about the objective, the event/subject matter, and the specific target audience, we can probably come up with some useful ideas for you. Without more detail it's unlikely we can do much.

Sorry, forgot to mention! So this event will function as both an informational session on a new technology as well as a customer appreciation event. I'd like to tie the giveaways into a fun interactive game that could liven up the event and take it beyond the standard presentations. We already know who is attending since they'll register online and check in their badges with us.

In the past we've tried a real time text poll that integrated into our presentation, but attendees weren't thrilled about giving our their cell #s.

What's the new technology? Why a game - why not a clear proof of why your technology is dramatically better than the competition and how it'll make a bottom line difference to their business?

Just out of curiosity, why is this question posted under "Research/Metrics?"

We're already showing a clear proof of why it's better than the competition. The game would add some interaction and liven up the presentation.

    I must've clicked the wrong box...sorry...

Have them sign in prior to the seminar. Why don't you have their email when they registered for the seminar. You could have included that as a required item or requested it when they called in.

T-Shirts with your company logo. Hand them out for questions about the product like a baseball game.
    Gift cards to different restaurants.
Kill the lights and have a giant black light beach ball bounced around the crowd. (Ok save that one for church, techieees may lose their minds with all the excitement.)
