Industry Averages For Webinar Statistics

Posted by swillenbrink on 50 Points
I am looking for a website or some source that can help me find out what the industry averages are for webinar statistics.

I am particularly looking for a food manufacturing industry averages for webinars. What are the averages for the food manufacturing industry for click to rate rations, people attending, registering, etc.

I want to be able to compare our webinar stats to industry averages or other company's to get a better idea of where our webinars stand compared to industry average.

Any help on where to find the stats, a website, or any research tools.

Thanks!

Industry averages are likely to lead you to wrong conclusions. That's because each company has different goals, different promises, and different ideas about how to design and deliver webinars. When you average the results, you are comparing your own results not just to apples and oranges, but to a market basket that includes everything and the proverbial kitchen sink.

If you are satisfied with your results, then keep doing what you are doing. If not, start testing some modifications. (Not a bad idea regardless.)

Comparing yourself to a collection of winners and losers, and averaging them into an indistinguishable mush, is only going to obfuscate the things you should be learning.

Beware of averages. Why? Because they are average. Seek instead to exceed industry metrics, to become an example of how to be the best in your category.

Any numbers connected to webinars will depend on how widely and to whom you market the event.
