Seo For Terminal Emulation & Web Services Provider

Posted by becky on 125 Points
I've just taken on a new client https://www1.flynetviewer.com/ They operate in an incredibly niche and complicated market - Terminal emulation. Where normally I would be writing articles and starting forum discussions to generate back links for my clients - I am struggling with these because it's a subject area I know nothing about. I think it would take me a very long time to become knowledgable enough in their area to follow these methods. So my question is . . . how would you advise I best proceed in generating their links?

Start with the basics: Who specifically would be interested in this product? What makes it better than their competition? Which experts recommend such a product? Then, find the experts. Clarify the positioning. It's likely there are tech forums where such a product is discussed. But event more likely, since it's a narrow niche, PPC would be an obvious choice to generate leads.

Consider using content curation. Find related content, then create original headlines and introductions to those pieces of content and include a link to the content at the end of your introduction. Ask the owners and publishers of the content you're pushing to create links to your curated content (which helps them and you). Then, intersperse your shorter pieces with longer pieces your client creates. Push those pieces to the same blog owners and ask them to syndicate the content, with a link back to your client's site. Rinse. Repeat.
