Know-How Exchange : Social Media

When I post a status that has a link on Facebook Pages I manage and then go to share it in groups and on my own timeline for broader "reach", sometimes it will take the original comments and sometimes it will just take the link without the comments. Sometimes it gives me the option to carry over the comments and sometimes it does not. I cannot figure out exactly how this works. I cannot find the exact pattern. It's a surprise every time. I did think it was just a cell phone versus a PC thing...but NOPE...today that made no difference. It's annoying because I want the original comments to follow the link for context.

Does anybody else have this issue? Or is it just me? (It's FB, so I'm sure I'm not the only one. LOL.) And what is the magic formula to remedy this situation? OMG it's frustrating!!! If you have a source that explains this phenomenon, please—please—please share.
