New Tv Show Idea, But No Money.

Posted by angelicaedafeghwara on 250 Points
I have an amazing idea for a new reality show, but i have no money at all. How do i get sponsors? I mean, I need sponsors to invest and also advertise their products. Will i be able to get sponsors if i have not aired even one episode? how do i get them to be convinced that they have a lot to gain from sponsoring me.

Show them your track record of entrepreneurial success in this or other areas.

How DO they have a lot to gain from sponsoring you? They will be taking a large risk if they sponsor you. Why should they believe the reward will be commensurate?

It sounds like you are counting on the concept itself to convince them. That's probably not going to work. There are too many good ideas out there. You will need to demonstrate how you have delivered on big ideas in the past in order to gain their trust.

Do fundraising to create a pilot episode to show the quality and content you're offering.
Then, see how many people will watch your pilot and be interested enough to share with their friends.
Finally, learn the demographics of your viewing audience to make the funding pitch to prospective sponsors: estimated viewership, demographics, sponsorthip placement, etc.

Launch your show on YouTube, build a following, then approach sponsors.

Crowdfund a pilot (or a few episodes). Upload them to YouTube. Try to get a community. If you get a following, a producer will be much more interested. You will have tested the idea and can demonstrate an audience for it.
    Good luck.
