Student Council Campaign Ideas For Instagram

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am running for Student Rep at my high school. I didn't make it last year and I'd love to win this time around. This Friday is election and I'm looking for a last minute push idea to get my name out even more. Ive already displayed some posters and given out candy messages. Any other ideas for me? Would using social media (instagram) help me? Help please!

As with most communication issues, you have to first decide WHY your target audience should do what you're asking them to do. What's in it for the voters to vote for you? What makes you the perfect choice? And which students are most likely to vote for you? A targeted message with a benefit promise will be more important than the medium.

Besides plastering your name out there - what are you saying to your fellow students as to why they should elect you? What will you do that others can't/won't? Why do you want to win?

Think about these statements, where they are focused, and how effective they might be:
Vote for me because I am popular.
Vote for me because I want to be popular.
Vote for me because I'll help get things we students want.
Vote for me because I'll work to solve your problems.
