Posted by mvp892001 on 250 Points
I was hired as Business Development Manager on our offshore office to commercialize and expand our Shared Services.

We will be launching this outsourcing services and our CEO wants to drive the sales off-shore. Our targte Market are medium size companies (50 or more staff) across all industry.

Any tips on Sales and Marketing Strategies I can use?

Initial plan is to hire or get a database provider.

Hire 2 Telesales/ telemarketer and call out the list we generated in the database.

Keen on hearing your thoughts.

The target audience is too broad.

You will do much better if you can focus your efforts in just one geographic area, one industry, and one segment of the market. You will be able to demonstrate high relevance to a small subset of the audience, and that will improve your closing ratio considerably -- faster and at a lower cost.

Once you have demonstrated (to yourself and to management) that you were successful with one sub-segment you can move to another one. And if you can't succeed with the low-hanging fruit, how do you expect to succeed with the rest of your world?

It will be far more effective and efficient to get a high closing rate in a small business segment than a minuscule closing rate across a huge population.

What kind of shared services? Off shore where? That list you're going to "get"? Who is on it and how tuned in are they to your services?
