How To Engage Executives

I am not a writer. My experience for the past 10 yrs has been in Sales/Bus Dev. However, I am considering forming a company to help companies put together introduction letters and emails to be sent to prospective clients. I cannot tell you how many emails and letters I get that have no call to action. It is as if I am to guess at what they expect me to do with the letter or email. I have also been asked by several companies which I have personally contacted (as prospective clients of other companies I run) to help them form letters and emails of introduction. In my career I have been able to get meetings or conference call calls with C-level and VO-level executives at Comcast, Accenture, Xerox, IKON, AIG, SUN Micro and list goes on and on.

Please let me know if you feel there is market for this type of service. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

    I think you answered your own question:

    Not only are many sales letters and emails poorly written from a sales perspective, but also they are poorly written from a grammar perspective, too.

    As more younger people are taught to write in digital shorthand (how r u?), remedial training has become a huge industry:

    Sounds like you ARE a writer, Peter.

    I recently heard a Thomas Mann quote that I could immediately relate to. Does it strike a chord with you, too?

    "A writer is somebody for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people."

    You can bet your socks that there is a market for your service!
