Sample Marketing Bonus Program

I need to develop a bonus program for a new Director of Marketing. I've never developed an incentive program for a marketing person so I could really use some help, including taking a look at some samples of bonus programs that have been in place so that I don't have to start from scratch. Thank you.

    "Marketing" is such a broad term. Are you tell me about business-to-business marketing, or business to consumer, or business to government? Is this an established company or a startup? Will the person have a budget? Does your product have a long or short sales cycle? Are you selling via the Internet, or through online retailers, or through brick-and-mortar stores, or through sales reps or agents? Are you selling locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally? What is it that you want the marketing person to do? What is your position in the company? Do you sell products or services or both? Etc.

    In order for someone to give a thoughtful and reasonable response to your question, they would need a lot more information, and it is very likely inappropriate for you to post that much information about your company and products on an open forum. You should probably work with someone personally, closely, and privately.I would be willing to spend 15 minutes on the phone with you, no charge. Goodbye my email address on my profile page.
