Changing Location In Geosticker Instagram Story

Posted by hester on 125 Points
Hello,

My client made an Instagram Story with a Geosticker in it. When following the Geosticker link, the address in Google Maps is incorrect. Her company is situated at number 33 on her street, while Maps is showing directions to number 34.

I checked:
- The address on Instagram
- The address on Facebook
- The address on Google my Business

Everything seems correct. So why is the adress incorrect when people click on the Geosticker?

Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Thanks in advance!

Did you take the photo at number 34? If so, the geotag in the photo recorded where you took the photo, not the address you say it is of and you'll need to edit the geotag and use the updated photo for the story.

There may be a way to update the address through Google Maps.

@Jay Hamilton-Roth thanks for your answer. I've thought of this solution as well, but the next problem is that I can't find the option to change the address in the Geosticker. After adding the Geosticker, the only option I see is to delete it.

Edit your photo's geotag using a free online tool such as: geoimgr.com
    Then re-upload the new photo.
