Who is the primary target audience for this song? How about search advertising? (You will have to determine how many views you want and can afford.)

What's the reason you want many views? Are you trying to book yourself in venues? Sell a recording? Find collaborators?

Is your song a video or audio-only?

Is this your first attempt to share your song? Do you already have a social media following?

Instagram is the best platform for promoting videos. Marketers are also of the opinion that they get maximum engagement in Instagram. Video promotion should be done with proper descriptions so as to get more likes and subscriptions.

Here are some strategies to get your new song across to a wider audience and gain more views:

    On Streaming Platforms:

Platform Optimization: Make sure your song has a catchy title, high-quality cover art, and an engaging bio that reflects your artistic identity. Utilize all the tags and genre options offered by the streaming platform.
Playlisting: Research playlists relevant to your genre and submit your song for consideration. Some platforms allow user-generated playlists, so encourage fans to add your song to theirs.
Strategic Promotion: Run targeted ads on the streaming platform itself to reach users with similar interests.
    Social Media Promotion:

Create Engaging Snippets: Use short snippets of your song (15-30 seconds) with eye-catching visuals to grab attention on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Go Live: Host live streams on social media platforms to perform your song, answer questions, and interact with fans.
Collaborate with Influencers: Partner with micro-influencers in your genre to promote your song to their audience.
    General Marketing Strategies:

Press Release: Craft a press release about your new song and send it to music blogs, journalists, and radio stations in your niche.
Website and Landing Page: If you have a website, create a dedicated landing page for your song with the option to stream, download, or purchase it.
Email Marketing: If you have an email list, reach out to your fans directly and announce your new song.
    Additional Tips:

Engage with Your Audience: Respond to comments, answer questions, and actively participate in conversations online to build a connection with your listeners.
Run Contests and Giveaways: Encourage user-generated content by running contests or giveaways centered around your song.
Network and Collaborate: Connect with other musicians in your genre for potential collaborations or features on each other's songs.
Consider Paid Promotion: Explore options for paid advertising on social media platforms or search engines to target a wider audience.

I am no musician, but the promotion techniques are more or less the same for every niche. I am assuming you have uploaded the song to YouTube. You can start by promoting the YouTube link on social media platforms. If you are on Instagram, try to collaborate with influencers who are in the field of music. Try to cross-promote with other artists. If budget is not an issue, run paid ads on social media platforms and also promote your song on streaming platforms.
