You know what? None of us here, me included, should be suggesting solutions, based on how little we know about the asker's needs.

What we should really be suggesting here is that the asker develops a specification of what they are trying to achieve and where the problems are in their processes.

The knee-jerk reaction is to go from a problem (how do we tame the beast?) to a solution (here, try product X).

What's missing from the mix is the problem definition phase.

Once the problem is properly and clearly defined and that description is agreed upon by all stakeholders, then and only then can the range of possible solutions be listed, and their respective merits and disadvantages compared.

And that's the point a decision or recommendation can be made, with full knowledge of what will be included or excluded from the solution, and what the risks are attached to the solutions.
